Remote does not sell one plan; it prices each product separately and competes on flat, transparent rates. Contractor management adds a per contractor fee for compliant agreements and payments. Employer of record, its flagship, lets you hire employees abroad without your own local entity for a per employee fee. Global payroll runs payroll where you already own an entity, quoted per employee. And a free HR layer covers the record for your directly employed staff. The published figures are platform fees only. For employer of record especially, your real invoice adds the employee's salary, local employer taxes and statutory benefits, which can lift the total well above the headline. The platform fee is the floor, not the bill.

Four things tend to separate Remote's published per worker figure from what you actually pay, especially on employer of record. Budget for these before you commit.

→ Employment costs sit on top of the fee. The employer of record fee, from $599 a month, is the platform charge only. Salary, local employer taxes and statutory benefits are billed in addition and can add a large share on top of gross pay, with some markets adding 25 to 35 percent in mandatory benefits and bonuses.
→ No deposit, but FX still applies. Remote takes no salary deposit, which helps cash flow against rivals that do. Paying workers in their local currency still adds a foreign exchange spread over the mid market rate, and on meaningful payroll volume that becomes a real line item.
→ Annual versus month to month. Employer of record is $599 per employee per month on an annual commitment and $699 month to month, and Remote reports a 15 percent discount for eligible early stage companies in the first year. The term you pick moves the unit price.
→ Product mix drives the unit price. Because each product is priced separately, your bill depends on the mix of free HR, contractors at $29, quoted global payroll and employer of record at $599 you run. The same headcount costs very differently as contractors versus employer of record staff.
