Deel pricing

What Deel really costs by product, why the platform fee is only part of it, and the taxes, deposits and FX that decide your real global bill.

Deel does not sell one plan; it prices each product separately. A free HR layer covers the employee record and basics. Contractor management adds a per contractor fee for compliant agreements and payments. Global payroll runs payroll where you already own an entity for a per employee fee. And employer of record, Deel's flagship, lets you hire abroad without an entity for a higher per employee fee. The published figures are platform fees only. For employer of record especially, your real invoice adds local employer taxes, statutory benefits, deposits and currency conversion, which can lift the total well above the headline. Below we lay out each product as published, then the costs that decide real global spend. Deel quotes enterprise deals, so confirm with sales.

What moves the real bill

The platform fee is the floor, not the bill.

Four things tend to separate Deel's published per worker figure from what you actually pay, especially on employer of record. Budget for these before you commit.

Employment costs sit on top of the fee. The employer of record fee, from about $599 a month, is the platform charge only. Salary, local employer taxes and statutory benefits are billed in addition and can add a large share on top of gross pay, varying widely by country.
Deposits and FX. Employer of record often requires a salary deposit, and paying workers in their local currency adds a foreign exchange spread over the mid market rate. On meaningful payroll volume those spreads become a real line item.
Product mix drives the unit price. Because each product is priced separately, your bill depends on the mix of free HR, contractors, global payroll and employer of record you run. The same headcount costs very differently as contractors versus employer of record staff.
Negotiated rates at scale. Published figures are starting points. Reported employer of record rates often fall with headcount, and enterprise deals are quoted, so model your real country and worker mix rather than the headline number.
Pricing questions

Deel pricing FAQ

How much does Deel cost?

Deel prices each product separately: HR is free, contractor management from about $49 per contractor per month, global payroll from about $29 per employee per month, and employer of record from about $599 per employee per month. Platform fees exclude salary, taxes and benefits. Verified June 2026; check the vendor for current pricing.

Does Deel have a free plan?

Yes, for HR. Deel offers a free HRIS layer covering the employee record, time off and basic reporting. Its paid products, contractors, global payroll and employer of record, each carry their own per worker fee. Pricing as of June 2026; check the vendor for current pricing.

Why is the Deel EOR price higher than the headline?

The employer of record fee, from about $599 a month, is the platform charge only. Your real invoice adds the employee's salary, local employer taxes and statutory benefits, plus any deposit and currency conversion, which together can add a large amount on top.

Is Deel cheaper than hiring through a local entity?

For a few hires in a country, employer of record through Deel is usually cheaper and faster than opening and running your own entity. Once you have many employees in one country, owning an entity and using Deel's global payroll can cost less per head. Verified June 2026.
