Namecheap Hosting pricing

What Namecheap Stellar hosting really costs tier by tier, and why renewals, not just the low intro price, decide your bill.

Namecheap sells shared hosting under the Stellar name in three tiers, with some of the lowest entry prices in the market and a 30 day free trial across the range. The headline rate is the intro price, and the figures that matter are what you pay at renewal and where the site, storage and backup limits sit. Plans run from Stellar through Stellar Plus to Stellar Business, adding websites, storage, automatic backups and, on the top tier, cloud storage and extra security. Below is each plan as published, then the things that move the number.

What moves the real bill

Renewals and plan limits move the bill.

Namecheap's intro price is among the lowest anywhere. A few things separate it from what you pay over time, so plan for them before you commit.

The renewal jump. Intro rates apply to your first term, then renew higher, near $3.88 a month for Stellar, $6.88 for Stellar Plus and $10.88 for Stellar Business. The renewal, not the low intro price, is the figure to budget for over time.
Site and storage limits. Stellar caps you at three websites and 20 GB of SSD storage, while Stellar Plus lifts both to unlimited sites and unmetered storage. If you host more than a couple of sites, the step to Stellar Plus is usually the one that matters.
Backups by tier. Automatic backups come with Stellar Plus and Stellar Business but not the entry Stellar plan, so single site owners on Stellar should plan their own backups or budget the step up to keep automated copies.
The Business extras. Stellar Business adds cloud storage, Imunify360 security and priority support over Stellar Plus. Those extras suit busier or more security conscious sites, so size the plan to whether you actually need them.
