Melio pricing

What Melio costs as a bill pay layer, where the free plan ends, and the two fees that decide your real monthly spend.

Melio is a bill pay and accounts payable layer rather than a general ledger, so most businesses run it alongside QuickBooks Online or Xero. As of June 2026 it offers a free Go plan with five free ACH payments a month, then Core at $25, Boost at $55 and Unlimited at $80 a month, each adding more free ACH payments and workflow features. Bank transfers are free within your allotment, card payments carry a flat 2.9 percent fee, and ACH beyond the included count costs $0.50 each. Paid tiers take 20 percent off on annual billing. What moves the real bill

The subscription is the small number; the fees are the bill

Melio's plan price is only part of the story. For most businesses the real spend comes from how you pay vendors and how many payments you send, not the tier you pick.

ACH volume versus your free allotment. Each tier includes a set number of free ACH payments: 5 on Go, 20 on Core, 50 on Boost and unlimited on Unlimited. Beyond that count, each ACH payment costs $0.50. If you pay dozens of vendors a month, the right move is usually a higher tier rather than paying overages on a cheaper plan, so count your monthly payments first.
The 2.9 percent card fee. Paying a vendor by credit card carries a flat 2.9 percent fee regardless of plan. That can be worth it to earn card rewards or defer cash, but on a large bill it dwarfs the subscription. Bank transfers stay free within your allotment, so reserve card payments for cases where the float or rewards justify the fee.
Subscription versus the old free model. Melio once leaned almost entirely on free bank transfers, and the tiered subscriptions are newer. If you only send a few payments a month, the free Go plan may still be all you need. Step up to Core at $25 mainly for the QuickBooks and Xero sync, approval workflows and the larger free ACH allotment, not for the brand of the plan.

Melio pricing FAQ

How much does Melio cost?

As of June 2026, Melio offers a free Go plan with five free ACH payments a month, then Core at $25, Boost at $55 and Unlimited at $80 a month. Paid tiers take 20 percent off on annual billing. Card payments cost 2.9 percent and extra ACH payments are $0.50 each. Check the vendor for current pricing.

Is Melio free?

It can be. The Go plan has no subscription fee and includes five free ACH payments a month, with free bank transfers within that allotment. You pay only when you exceed the free ACH count, pay a vendor by card at 2.9 percent, or upgrade to a paid tier for more payments and features. Verified June 2026.

What fees does Melio charge?

Bank transfers are free within your plan's allotment. Card payments carry a flat 2.9 percent fee, and ACH payments beyond your included count cost $0.50 each. Some faster delivery options and instant transfers can carry additional fees. The monthly subscription on paid tiers is separate from these per payment charges. Check the vendor for current pricing.

Is Melio good value?

For a small business that pays vendors by bank transfer and wants free or low cost accounts payable alongside QuickBooks Online or Xero, the Go and Core tiers are good value. Heavy payment volume or frequent card payments push the real cost up, so model your ACH count and card usage before choosing a tier.
