Jotform pricing, explained

Tiers are named after metals, but the number that sets your bill is monthly submissions.

Jotform keeps its pricing readable: a free Starter plan and three paid tiers named Bronze, Silver and Gold. What separates them is mostly volume, namely monthly submissions, form count and storage, rather than entirely different feature sets. The 100 submission free cap and the HIPAA requirement are the two things that most often decide which plan you land on. Below is every tier as of June 2026, what the caps mean in practice, and where the real costs sit.

What moves the real bill

What actually moves the bill

The metal names hide a simpler truth: you pay for volume and for compliance. These factors decide the tier.

Monthly submission cap. Every plan, including paid ones, has a monthly submission limit shared across all forms. Run a busy campaign and the cap, not the features, is what pushes you up a tier.
HIPAA compliance. HIPAA only arrives on the Gold plan. If you handle protected health information, that requirement alone sets your floor at Gold regardless of volume.
Monthly versus annual billing. The listed prices are annual rates. Paying monthly costs more, with Gold rising from about $99 to about $129 per month for the same plan.
Form and storage limits. Each tier caps the number of forms and the storage available. Agencies juggling many client forms can hit the form count before the submission count.
Pricing questions

Jotform pricing FAQ

Is Jotform free plan good enough?

The free Starter plan gives 5 forms and 100 monthly submissions across all of them, with Jotform branding. It suits a single low traffic form, but the 100 submission ceiling is reached quickly on anything public facing.

When do I need the Gold plan?

Gold is the tier that includes HIPAA compliance, so any team handling protected health information needs it. Otherwise you only need Gold for its higher submission and form limits.

How does Jotform pricing compare to Typeform?

Jotform's paid plans start higher than Typeform's Basic, but you get far more submissions and features per tier. For volume and breadth Jotform is often better value; for a polished single survey, Typeform can be cheaper to start.

Does monthly billing cost more?

Yes. The advertised prices assume annual billing. Paying month to month is more expensive, with the Gold plan rising from about $99 to about $129 per month.
