HubSpot email pricing

What HubSpot email costs across Marketing Hub tiers, why marketing contacts and seats drive the bill, and where the Starter to Professional cliff sits.

HubSpot email lives inside Marketing Hub, priced across four editions on a mix of seats and marketing contacts. There is a Free tier that sends up to 2,000 emails a month to 1,000 marketing contacts with HubSpot branding, then Starter, Professional and Enterprise. The headline numbers below are monthly list prices; annual billing is cheaper, and Professional and Enterprise carry one time onboarding fees. The thing most buyers underestimate is the jump from Starter at $20 a seat to Professional at $890 a month, which is where real automation, reporting and more contacts unlock. Marketing contacts above each plan's included tier cost extra. Below is each plan as published, then the things that move the number.

What moves the real bill

Marketing contacts, seats and the Starter to Pro cliff set the bill.

Four things tend to separate HubSpot's entry price from what teams actually pay. Plan for these before you commit.

Marketing contacts add overages. Each edition includes a contact tier: 1,000 on Starter, 2,000 on Professional, 10,000 on Enterprise. Contacts above the tier are billed in blocks, so a growing list raises the bill beyond the headline.
Seats multiply Starter. Starter is priced per seat, so a small team pays several times the single seat rate. Professional includes three seats and Enterprise five, with extra core seats from $45 and $75 a month.
The Starter to Professional cliff. The gap from $20 a seat on Starter to $890 a month on Professional is large, and it is where real automation, reporting and the higher contact tier sit, so mid sized senders feel the jump.
Onboarding fees on the upper tiers. Professional requires a one time $3,000 onboarding and Enterprise a one time $7,000, which add to the first year cost on top of the monthly subscription.

HubSpot Email pricing FAQ

How much does HubSpot email cost per month?

Why is HubSpot email so much more expensive at Professional?

Professional unlocks omnichannel automation, advanced reporting and a higher marketing contact tier, which is why it jumps from $20 a seat on Starter to $890 a month. It also adds a one time $3,000 onboarding fee. Many email only senders stay on Starter or a cheaper tool.

Is HubSpot worth it for email marketing alone?

If you only need email, dedicated tools like MailerLite or Brevo cost far less. HubSpot earns its price when you want email tied to a full CRM, automation and reporting in one platform. Compare at your contact count and seat needs. Verified June 2026; check the vendor for current pricing.
