A2 Hosting pricing

What A2 Hosting really costs tier by tier, and why renewals and the Turbo jump, not just the intro price, decide your bill.

A2 Hosting publishes four shared tiers, split between standard Apache plans and faster Turbo plans on LiteSpeed. The headline rates are intro prices that need a long prepaid term, up to 36 months, and the number that matters is what you pay when that term ends, because renewals climb two to three times higher. Plans run from Startup through Drive to Turbo Boost and Turbo Max, each adding resources and, on the Turbo tiers, a faster server stack. Below is each plan as published, then the things that move the number.

What moves the real bill

Renewals and the Turbo jump set the bill.

A2 Hosting's intro price is the starting point. A few things move what you pay over time, so plan for them before you commit.

The renewal jump. Intro rates apply to your first prepaid term, then renew two to three times higher, for example Startup near $10.99 and Turbo Max near $25.99 a month. The renewal is the figure to budget for over time.
Term length and prepayment. The lowest rates need a long term paid up front, up to 36 months. Shorter terms cost more per month, so the headline price assumes a multi year commitment.
The Turbo step. Startup and Drive run on Apache with standard SSD, while Turbo Boost and Turbo Max add LiteSpeed, NVMe storage and Turbo Cache for speed. If performance matters, the Turbo tiers, not the entry plans, are the ones to price.
Resources and backups. Startup caps RAM at 0.7 GB and omits backup restore, while higher tiers add RAM, cores and restore. Growth in traffic or resource use is what usually prompts an upgrade, not site count alone.
Pricing questions

A2 Hosting pricing FAQ

How much does A2 Hosting cost per month?

Intro rates are $2.99 for Startup, $5.99 for Drive, $6.99 for Turbo Boost and $12.99 for Turbo Max per month on long prepaid terms. Renewals are two to three times higher. Pricing as of June 2026; check the vendor for current pricing.

Why does A2 Hosting cost more at renewal?

Because the advertised price is an introductory rate tied to your first prepaid term, which can run up to 36 months. When that term ends the plan renews at the standard rate, often two to three times the intro price, so the renewal is the real long term cost.

What are A2 Hosting Turbo plans?

Turbo Boost and Turbo Max run on LiteSpeed servers with NVMe SSD storage and Turbo Cache, which A2 markets as much faster than its Apache based Startup and Drive plans. They add more RAM and CPU cores, with Turbo Max offering about five times the resources of Turbo Boost.

Which A2 Hosting plan is best value?

Drive at $5.99 suits most multi site owners, adding unlimited websites, unlimited storage and backup restore over Startup. Turbo Boost is the value pick if speed matters, adding LiteSpeed and NVMe. Startup fits a single small site on a budget.
